Picsart Capture & Create: supported browsers and availability

Updated

Picsart Capture & Create helps you capture visual content from the web and use it with Picsart. Availability and capture tools differ by browser. Release status below was checked on October 13, 2026.

Chrome: available now

Install the public desktop extension from the Chrome Web Store. It supports visible-page and selected-area screenshots, supported page media and short area recordings.

Recordings are silent WebM files, limited to 120 active seconds or 25 MB, whichever comes first. Audio and microphone capture are not included. See the Chrome getting started guide.

Firefox: preview

The Firefox preview uses a native sidebar and requires Firefox 142 or later. It supports screenshots, selected-area captures and supported video-frame captures. Screen recording is not included. There is no public Firefox Add-ons installation link yet.

Opera: preview

The Opera preview opens in a separate extension window. It supports visual clipping and screenshot capture. Area recording is available only where the browser supports it, with the same silent WebM, 120-active-second and 25-MB limits. There is no public Opera Add-ons installation link yet.

Safari: in development

The Safari edition is still in development. There is no signed public release or installation link. Capture options vary by device and permissions, and screen recording is not supported.

What can I capture?

Supported editions work with images, screenshots, video frames and directly accessible video files. They do not save entire websites or full articles, capture scrolling full-page screenshots, download full YouTube videos or bypass protected content. A video-frame capture is a still image.

A product preview page is not an installation link. Use the public store link above for Chrome; the other browser editions are not publicly released yet.

Accounts, Drive and credits

Connect your Picsart account to use online features such as Drive and AI generation. Available controls may differ by edition. Capturing a preview, uploading a reference and approving generation are separate actions.

See Manage Drive files and generation credits in Picsart Capture & Create for folder selection, generation approval and account credits. Standard Picsart Pro and Ultra plans and separate credit purchases are available through Picsart pricing.

When Clipper is available, it opens the connected Picsart web app. If a saved file is not selected there, check your account and Drive folder.

Contact Picsart Support if you need help. Include your browser and extension versions and the exact error.
