Sometimes the Picsart app asks you to get a subscription when you save or export your edit. This article helps you find the reason and finish your edit.
Why does Picsart ask for a subscription when I export?
Some items in Picsart are premium. If your edit has at least one premium item, Picsart asks for a subscription when you save, export or download it.
Templates, stickers, effects, filters, fonts, text styles, backgrounds, textures, animations and some AI tools can be premium.
Premium items show a crown or a plan badge in the list where you choose them.
I did not add a premium item. Why do I see this?
Check how you started your edit. If you started from a premium template, the full edit can count as premium. This can happen when you did not add a premium item yourself. It is not the same in all app versions.
How do I find the premium item in my edit?
Picsart does not show a list of the premium items in your edit. Check each part of your edit:
- Open your layers. Look at each sticker, text and image in your edit.
- Check the fonts. Select each text, then look for a crown on its font.
- Check the effects and filters. Open the tools that you used, then look for a crown on the item that you chose.
- Replace the premium item. Choose an item without a crown, or delete the premium item.
- Export again. Save or export your edit.
Can I download my edit on the Picsart website without a subscription?
Some versions of the Picsart website show a Download with watermarks option on the subscription screen. Select it to download your edit with a watermark. This option is not available for all download types, for example some high-quality formats.
I have a subscription. Why does Picsart still ask for it?
- Close and open the app again. Close Picsart completely, then open it again. This often updates your subscription status.
- Check your account. Make sure that you use the same Picsart account and the same sign-in method that you used to buy. To learn more, read Why can't I access my Premium features?
- Update the app. Install the latest version of Picsart from the App Store or Google Play.
