Using dark theme on Android

Android devices with operating system Android 10 (and higher) support dark theme as a default. Your device will automatically default to dark theme, and all of your apps are forced to operate in dark theme. Right now, Picsart does not support dark theme.

When using dark theme on the Picsart app you may experience issues within the Picsart interface like distorted colors, displays not appearing correctly and/or some toolbar icons not appearing. Color distortions will not affect your final edit once downloaded.

To avoid interface issues, you can turn off dark theme or put an exception on the Picsart app.

Turning off dark theme:

  • Go to your “Device Settings”
  • Click on “Display”
  • Toggle “Dark theme”
  • Force kill your app and reopen the Picsart app

Putting an exception on the Picsart app*:

  • Go to your “Device Settings”
  • Click on “Display”
  • Click on “Dark theme” then “more dark mode options”
  • Find and select “Picsart” then “Turn off”
  • Force kill your app and reopen the Picsart app

*This feature may not be available on all Android devices.
